In May of 2010, Seventeen Magazine conducted an interview with Cycle 14 winner Krista White following her appearance and win on the show. Here is the text from the article (written by Seventeen Magazine):

Meet the Newest Top Model: Krista White!

Seventeen caught up with America’s Next Top Model, Krista White, only days after she was named the Cycle 14 winner (here she is in the fashion closet with the interns)! She stopped by to talk about what really went on in the house, the best advice that she received (that might just have helped her win), and some of her best-kept beauty and style secrets. Check out what she had to say…

Seventeen: So what is it like to win ANTM?

Krista White: This is something I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve waited so long to get here! I’ve been to auditions in Arkansas, Memphis, Texas, California and Vegas, which was my last tryout and the one that I made it at. When I won I actually broke down crying because, after trying out for so many seasons, it was surreal.

17:What was living in a house full of competitors really like? Tell us some stories!

KW: There was a lot of bickering! Everybody in the house wanted that number one spot. I think we all realized that you sort of have to fend for yourself. But we had a lot of fun moments too! We actually used to play “Chubby Bunny” with the marshmellows!

17: What are some of the best lessons that you’ve learned from being on the show?

KW: I learned how to listen. I would listen to what the judges told me and at home I would take down notes. Not only the critiques that they gave to me, but also what they told the other girls. Then I would go back and apply it. One thing that Tyra said that I will always take with me was that although this experience cracked open the door, I have to get through it. She said, “If you can’t get in through the front, get through the back or the window, shimmy down the chimney, just get in there!”

17: What are some of your favorite clothing and accessories stores?

KW: BCBG and Guess. I’m also a big fan of Christian Audigier. Rue21’s jewelery is really good and inexpensive, which is good because I lose things all the time! Oh, and if I could own any pair of shoes, I would want a pair of Christian Louboutins!

17: With having to wear makeup and change up your hair all the time, do you have any insider tips to keep your skin healthy and hair looking great?

KW: I think that in this industry, you have to realize that hair is hair and it grows back! I break out at the drop of a dime, though, so I have to use Neutrogena every single night. For makeup, right now I am so into the CoverGirl Queen Collection. And I also collect eyeshadows! I used to get them in my Christmas stocking when I was younger. I don’t care where they are from. I have to try them all!

After trying and failing to be on the show season after season, last night’s America’s Top Model winner, Krista White almost gave up but something told her to keep on going. So, she did and now 14 cycles later she has won and will be managed by Wilhelmina Models and landed a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl.

In May of 2010, Zap2it.com posted an article regarding Cycle 14 winner Krista White following her appearance on the show. Here is the text from the article (written by Hanh Nguyen):

‘America’s Next Top Model’ winner Krista White shows no dreckitude

Krista White achieved her “America’s Next Top Model” dream, taking those cheekbones all the way to the end.

On the Wednesday night (May 12) finale, the 26-year-old from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, had the goods to take down fellow finalist Raina Hein in front of the cameras and on the runway.

White began pretty rocky at the beginning of the season, but improved her skills each episode, winning challenge after challenge as she neared the finale.

At the final CoverGirl shoot, her photos were not as fun and flirty as Hein’s, but White somehow worked through the commercial despite nerves, forgetting her lines and having to rely on cue cards.

The Anna Sui runway finale required the finalists to be lighthearted and fun, something that White was able to pull off even has she delivered a strong walk down the runway. Hein was clearly not as powerful with her walk, only improving when the two of them had to pair up and walk side by side, matching White’s stride.

Former Cycle 14 contestants Angelea, Alexandra, Alasia and Jessica also joined them, as did “shorty” Cycle 13 winner Nicole.

In the end, White’s ability to grasp modeling concepts and put them into practice and her unusual, angular look won the judges over.

“You are the embodiment of a top model,” said Tyra Banks. “You learned and you listened and you blossomed. There’s an honesty and rawness about you.”

White was so overwhelmed upon winning, she started crying, causing judge Andre Leon Talley to tear up as well.

“I can’t believe it. I want to pinch myself,” said White. “Nobody thought it would be me. For me, to be from the small Pine Bluff with maybe 100 or something people where nobody ever leaves. It’s amazing … I’m excited I’m America’s Next Top Model.”

As the winner, White gets a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and a six-page spread and cover of Seventeen magazine.
