In April of 2005, OrwellProject.com interviewed Cycle 4’s Rebecca Epley following her appearance and elimination from Top Model. The interview summarizes her favorite and not so favorite moments of being on a reality show. Here is the text from the article (written by John Covert Boyd):

Interview With Rebecca And Tiffany From America’s Next Top Model

How did you come to be on America’s Next Top Model?

Rebecca: “Ever since I was 16 I have wanted to be a model. I had done local fashion shows, and then decided to try out for season 2 but unfortunately I didn’t make it. So when season 4 came around I tried out again and made it.”

Have you always wanted to be a model?

Rebecca: “As a child I have always wanted to be a model, I thought the industry was glamorous and appealing.”

How do you think your ANTM experience will change your future?

Rebecca: “I am curious. I hope the exposure will help me in my future of modeling.”

What advice would you give to aspiring models trying out for the next season of ANTM?

Rebecca: “Never give up. The industry is filled with rejection, so be yourself don’t be shy or nervous, open up and be who you are.”

Is there anything you saw that your competition did well or something you learned not to do because of another example?

Rebecca: “Whatever you are doing give it your all. Don’t do it halfway and expect to make it. Don’t worry about being criticized, just be yourself.”

Knowing what you know now, would you do it all again?

Rebecca: “Yes. I think I would have gone into it a little more prepared mentally. Being away from family, grueling hours and negative comments were trying.”

Sometimes it’s hard to become friends with the competitors, did you find that true? If so, which contestant did you clash with most and why?

Rebecca: “Living with 14 girls is tough but the experience was fun. There wasn’t a lot of alone time. I made friends with a bunch of the girls, Kahlen was like a sister to me, Lluvy, Sarah and Noelle were also great.”

What was your favorite part of the show?

Rebecca: “The photo shoots. Being able to have your hair and makeup done by the best in the business was a lot of fun. Also having environments like the wind, rain and children made the shoots great.”

What was the worst part of the show?

Rebecca: “The nervousness that comes with the elimination, it was a little nerve racking.”

Do you normally watch Reality shows?

Rebecca: “Yes.”

What are your future plans?

Rebecca: “Whatever I can do for modeling work. I want to live in NY or Europe, and be involved in runway and all commercial styles. I have been meeting some contacts to looking forward to starting my career. Also I want to say thank you to all the fans that have been so supportive.”
