Samantha Francis was a contestant during Cycle 8 of ANTM.
Samantha Francis was working as a sales associate in Pinson, Alabama before she joined America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 8. In addition, she didn’t have any professional modeling experience prior to her appearance on the show.
Samantha finally had to the courage to live out her life-long dream of becoming a model when her significant other urged her to try out for America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 8 in Atlanta, Georgia. Although she successfully made it to the finals, she was not able to stay long in the competition, as she was the second girl to be eliminated from the show. For the second photo shoot, the remaining twelve girls were asked to pose as different high school stereotypes, and although most of them were able to pull off their assigned stereotypes, Samantha, along with her fellow Top Model finalist, Natasha Galkina, had a hard time bringing her stereotype to life. The judges decided to cut Samantha because they saw she lacked experienced and personality.
Samantha Francis is now an incredibly successful international model currently signed with Fusion Model Management in New York, Apple Model Management in Bangkok, and Style International Management in Hong Kong. She used to be signed with Elite Model Management in New York. She was featured as a “Top Model in Action” during Cycle 13.

I think it’s great that she overcame the ‘I-probly-couldn’t-do-that-in-Alabama-‘-mood she had going. I really liked her.

You know, it’s always funny to see how some girls who were eliminated in the first episodes end up having a far better career than some of the winners. Comes to say that ANTM doesn’t give you the career, but the tools to have one. From there, the choice is yours to use them right or not.

Samantha is my favorite model ever, along with Felicia and Natasha. And they’re all from the same cycle!
Samantha is gorgeous.

She is one of the Best looking girls of All Seasons. Samantha definitely has a very pretty face and nice body. All the Judges were completely out of theirs minds with this beauty. She proved them wrong once her modelling career took off.

She’s very beautiful girl, but nothing’s that special about her. Jaslene’s portfolio looks way more……professional. Saying she’s more successful than Jaslene is the same thing people say about Allison being better than Teyona from Cycle 12, when obviously Teyona’s more of a model.
Samantha’s face is very photogenic, but I don’t think she stands out in the fashion industry. There are a number of professional models who look like this. Nothing’s that great.
In reality, we’re not dealing with professional opinions, but opinions from people completely biased towards Jaslene, and it’s just unnecessary. What Tyra said about winners like her was true: “People are gonna be hating. You either love ’em or you hate ’em”.
And I don’t know where you get that she’s more successful, because I haven’t seen nor heard of Samantha as much as Jaslene. Nowhere near, actually. In fact, I thought she kind of faded into the background.
Bottom line: Samantha = model, but not a top model.

Actually, looking at her portfolio, I don’t think her look is that good, either. There are a number of photos where she looks good, but most of the time, she looks really amateurish and boring. She’s just not cutting it for me, except with the few really good shots she has, and that also says alot about a model’s versatility.
She has booked alot of work, but that by no means makes her special or top model material. It just simply means she’s fortunate enough to book a job. According to an article that was on Wikipedia.com about Brooke from Cycle 7 years ago, she too booked alot of modeling jobs after her elimination, but decided to continue on with her education as a college student.
So really, there’s nothing special about Samantha, otherwise, I’d be hearing about her at fashion shows and seeing her on the covers of magazines, and not just when I have to keep updates about her through cyberspace. The very fact I haven’t heard a flick about her besides only hearing about her on the internet shows she must not be that great.

Eh, she has a nice face, but there’s nothing really spectacular about her. Her posing is stiff, in alot of her shots, she looks bored as hell, but oddly enough, when the camera zooms in on her face or when she’s doing black and white shots, her face is really good. And her body is rather sick & unhealthy looking.
Also, Jaslene and Natasha have become not only the most successful of this cycle but are also two of the most successful models ANTM has ever produced and Samantha isn’t working at all. In fact, she hasn’t been working for about 3 years now.
In all honesty, I thought she had potential when she did that gay/lesbian marriage photoshoot with Whitney that first week, but when they sent her home, I didn’t miss her neither. Also, she hasn’t done any big runway shows, which says alot and that’s plays a VERY huge role in a model’s profile.
Samantha kind of reminds me of Emmy Rossum; very sweet girl who, is not ugly, but not really Supermodel material, either.

I am so happy to see how far she has gone. She is amazing.
