Monique Calhoun was a contestant on Cycle 7 of ANTM.
Born Monique Babblesworth, Monique Calhoun is an aspiring model from Chicago, Illinois. Before she became a finalist on America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 7, Monique was working as a marketing representative.
As a finalist on America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 7, Monique was not very well-liked, as she not only cried and complained about the makeover she received from the show, but also reacted like a terrible sore loser when, upon being disqualified from one of the challenges, she decided to retaliate by not letting the other girls use the telephone in the house. Even when her fellow Top Model Finalists Melrose Bickerstaff and Anchal Joseph confronted her about her behavior, Monique continued to use the telephone, and only gave it up two and a half hours later. The following week, Monique was seen wiping her used underwear on Melrose’s bed after they had again argued over the use of the telephone. To the delight of some of the other finalists, Monique became the third contestant to be eliminated from the show, after she refused to do a photo shoot because she was feeling under the weather.
Immediately after she was eliminated, Monique did not show any remorse about her behavior or about being removed from the show. She was also caught saying that her experience on the show was a waste of her time. Currently, Monique has plans of going to Japan in the hopes launching her modeling career there.
Since the show, Monique has modeled in Tokyo, and signed with L.A. Models.

This is a great example that designers and photographers do NOT care about model’s attitude. As long as models look a certain way, they will be successful no matter how poorly mannered they are. A testament to Tyra who thinks models should have a good likeable personality.

She only went on to get her 15 minutes of fame. I too agree that she didn’t deserve a chance at all to be on the show. First appearance is everything, and whether she’s grown up or not, she is still very ugly to the core!!

She was a horrible individual in some serious need of psychological help. She wasn’t just nasty, she was delusional and nuts. That kind of ugly will always show through no matter how good a picture may appear to be. It’s sad.

She was crazy!!! I think if she had remained in the show the rest would have walked out. Every season there is an arrogant model or a diva, but with Monique, she was just pure evil. She would not even apologize or try to get along with the rest except for Eugena. She made all the other models from previous shows who were not liked look like angels!! How do you claim someone else’s bed and pour water on it. How do you stay on the phone for three hours to spite everyone and (the most sick thing) she wiped her dirty panties on someone else’s bed???? Was she really sane???

I watched this season again and recall this girl as not being a likeable person or one who you would respect at all. People have their own individual look on the outside and I don’t like to judge people’s looks in a negative way.
However, this girl was extreamly ugly on the inside to the point where it was vile; I was very repulsed by her. I always try to see the good in people, especially as I don’t know her, but with this girl it was impossible.
I would not want to associate myself with anyone like her and I certainly would not wish for any of my children, friends or family to be around her or be her friend. Her mother, whilst on the phone with her, exclaimed that Monique was a child of God ;that was an insult to her religion and very hyprocritical, considering her behavior.
I can only hope this girl has now seen and reflected on her ugly charachter, which only served to make her look equally ugly on the outside. I hope she has changed her ways for the better and now sets a good example for younger people to look up to and respect .

I am SOOOOOO happy they got rid of her in the third show cause last season’s Jade just destroyed my watching enjoyment. And let’s face it, she just wasn’t all that anyways.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist. It’s what I do every day and let me tell you, I have worked with some highly disturbed individuals, but this girl….uffda! I really have to think there is some psychological disturbance going on in that head of hers. Either that or she’s a fabulous actress and I’m loathe to believe that! I’ll never get that evil laugh of hers out of my head.

As ugly as her personality was, I think Tyra missed a trick by not giving her short hair! She really suits it.
And we don’t know how successful she is, a lot of photos doesn’t mean she’s successful, it’s whether she was booked for these shots and what they were for

Didn’t like her on the show… I’m actually not mad at her tho. She’s a damn good model. Just looking through her pics she has talent and I didn’t know she was doing this much work as a high fashion model.
